Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Mark A. Mayoras retired after a 30 year distinguished military career. He began his career as an Airborne Ranger Infantryman. After positions as team and squad leader and weapons platoon sergeant, he decided to exit the service and enter the Green to Gold program. As an officer Mayoras branched into finance. As a CPT he was stationed at Ft Bragg as the 7th SFG (A) Comptroller. His passion for serving the Special Operations community was ignited and continued throughout his career. His final position was the Comptroller for US Army Special Forces Command.
Over his expansive military career, Mayoras served as a disbursing officer in Germany, Commander, SFG Comptroller, Deputy SFC Comptroller, S3 18th Soldier Support Group, Instructor/staff officer USMA and Developer Finance School/Ft Leavenworth as well. He won several awards for his service as well as being chosen NCO of the Year 7th Infantry Division. He competed three times in the Army Best Ranger competition.
After retirement, Mayoras started Soldiers First Real Estate LLC and it has grown quickly to a successful military focused firm. He also bought Dog Days Inn downtown and has helped it to thrive as well. He has an undergraduate degree from Indiana University and an MBA from Webster University.
