Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Dennis P. Harrison is a 30-year US Army Veteran with 18 years Special Forces / Special Operations experience. He enlisted in 1983 as a Field Artilleryman where he served assignments in Nurnberg, Germany and Fort Bragg, North Carolina. In 1990, he earned a commission in Field Artillery thru Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia and went on to serve at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
In 1996, he completed Special Forces training at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and served subsequent tactical assignments with the 3rd and 7th Special Forces Groups. He also served in strategic positions at the US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). He has numerous overseas deployments to include six combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. Additionally, he had the opportunity to serve as the Special Operations Liaison to the Director of the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) in Washington DC.
After retirement from the US Army, Dennis signed on with G4S Secure Solutions to perform duties as the Director of Special Operations for the Nuclear Energy Institute’s (NEI) Composite Adversary Force (CAF). The organization is charged with testing commercial power plant security strategies nationwide through Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulated Force-on-Force exercises.
Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Dennis Harrison holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Justice Administration from Hawaii Pacific University and a Master’s Degree in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University. Additionally, he maintains the Certified Protection Profession (CPP) designation from ASIS International and the CPTED Professional Designation (CPD) from the National Institute for Crime Prevention.
